EnerSys Recognized in 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition as Crown Level Supplier

 May20, 2017 – EnerSys® (NYSE:ENS), the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, will be recognized as a Crown Level Supplier throughout the 2017 FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition Season. EnerSys supplies batteries and engineering support to youth participating in the FIRST® competitions around the world throughout the season.

FIRST® was founded in 1989 to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology. EnerSys has been a sponsor of FIRST® since 2012, supplying more than 4000 batteries.

The 2017 FIRST® Robotics Competition Season kicked off its events on May 9, 2017 and ran through May 15, 2017. A championship round will be held in Houston from May 19, 2017 to May 22, 2017, with the final championship round being held in St. Louis from May 26, 2017 to May 29, 2017.
